This was the first trip I think I was ever hesitant to take. I had never skied before and was going with all my friends who have been skiing since before they could remember. Intimidated and nervous, my family and boyfriend pushed me to go to Aspen and hire an instructor to teach me how to ski, so I did. I fell on my butt a few times and couldn’t have been happier!
I only skied for a day but ate as much as I could and walked around town. So, here’s a quick guide from my quick trip!
I was (still am) drowning in work and needed a major getaway from school! So for our anniversary Ignacio took me to NYC (if you’re reading this: thank you silly!!!). I think fall is the best time to go to the City, at least for me since I live in Miami. It truly starts to feel like the holidays are coming because the temperature starts dropping and you get to see the foliage. So here’s just a quick diary on our trip!
I am falling more and more in love with this romantic trend. Designers and brands are designing and producing tons of products using this plush-fabric that screams fall.
So play it safe and add a velvet chocker or be bold and wear a velvet slip dress. The options are endless.
Shop some of my favorite velvet pieces.

This semester I am taking 19 credits. I know, I’m crazy! The library has basically become my second home.
Since I spend hours in cold rooms (being the typical Miami girl I am), there is nothing like comfy basics: sweaters, graphic tees and sweats. ValDesigns has such a wide selection for my comfy, yet trendy needs.
There is nothing like a good cross-body; super easy to wear almost anywhere! When it comes to big bags, I hoard and become Mary Poppins, but when I switch over to a tinier purse on the weekends, I take along my essentials ONLY! So to see what I carry 99% of the time, continue reading!
You can shop everything in this bag at the end of the post!
